The final day

There was no way I was going to be cold in the morning again, so last night I wore: Two pairs of socks. Fleece lined cycling tights. Long sleeved base layer. Full on fleece lined winter cycling jersey. Then got into my sleeping bag liner. Then into my sleeping bag proper.

When I woke up I was as cold as ever.

There was nothing for it but to pack up and get going. I was somewhat early in my departure, so I set off at a trundle. After a few miles I hit the Marriotts Way. Perfect - there was bound to be a café where I could get some breakfast and a hot drink. There was. But it was shut. I suppose I should have expected that at 8 am on a Sunday morning!

So I carried on. The trail was very pleasant but a bit muddy for long stretches which made it a bit slow going. I did eventually find a garage that was open to get some food.

After that, it was into Norwich weaving my way through the city in time for lunch!

All in all a very enjoyable mini tour!
