The last day of properly big hills! Plenty of variety with some old railway stuff and general off-road mixed up with the hills.
I'm in deepest Derbyshire now.
Today was all about the first 12 miles. I had two climbs to get over in that distance - Buttertubs and the Fleet Moss pass. Then it was a trundle south to my next campsite near Colne.
An early start saw me heading up to the Tan Hill Inn. It claims to be the highest pub in the British Isles. I'm pretty sure there are others making the same claim, but I'm taking this one! A great day with much climbing.
Heading back north towards Appleby-in-Westmorland so I could climb Great Dun Fell - the highest paved road in England.
The climb was a great way to end an enjoyable day.
